Test Prep
Our SAT Test Prep is unique as it provides very small classes led by veteran High School teachers. The individual attention allows the instructors to give tailored advice. Don McMillan, the Verbal and Writing instructor, is a published journalist and short story writer who has worked with students on AP and SAT prep for over 20 years. He holds an MFA in Writing has run a Young Writers’ Conference. Don teams with Mary Ellen Wolfe, Director of MathSmart. Mary Ellen has taught high school math and run algebra and enrichment camps for over 15 years. www.mathsmart.biz
Together Don and Mary Ellen hold intensive and week-long SAT prep courses throughout the year in Southborough, Marlboro, and Westboro (at Tatnuck Bookseller). They also offer individual programs of tutorials for SAT, ACT and SSAT prep in both English and Math.
Tutoring
One-on-one mentoring from an expert provides the most enriching type of instruction. An initial session leads to goal setting and an Action Plan that cultivates identified strengths and affinities while simultaneously addressing areas of concerns. Tutoring is available on an hourly or package basis for English, Verbal, Reading, Writing, SAT, ACT and SSAT prep.
Math tutoring is also available by arrangement. All tutors have at least 15 years of experience teaching high school age students. Don McMillan, a published journalist and short story writer who has taught Advanced Placement and SAT courses for over 20 years at some of New England’s top independent schools, personally tutors the writing and verbal students.
